In the report below, NOAA details the participatory GIS process used to engage multiple stakeholders throughout a geographic area to help create a detailed map with layers of users and uses. This process will soon be deployed in Hawaii as part of NOAA’s Pacific Regional Ocean Uses Atlas Project.
